The Lord has Risen - Easter vigil mass at Mira Road

Mumbai, 08 April 2012: Easter Vigil Mass was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Parish with great joy and preparation.  The vigil mass was at 9.00 p.m in the open grounds. Thousands of faithful participated in the mass.  Fr. Ivan D’Souza was the main celebrant together with Fr. Dominic Vas, Fr. Arwin, Fr. Agnelo, and Deacon Ivo who concelebrated with him. Fr. Ivan D’souza in his homily highlighted that Death is not the end of the story and we are called to continue the resurrected story of Jesus.

 

 

 

The parish had one more great reason to celebrate because 23 brothers and sisters were baptized during the mass and entered the catholic sheepfold.  It was indeed a great joy for the Parish community.

 

At the end the parish priest Fr. Dominic Vas conveyed his Easter wishes to the people, congratulated the newly baptized brothers and sisters and thanked all those who worked very hard to make this Easter celebration a grand success. The Lord has Risen, Alleluia, alleluia.
