Moodubelle, 24 April 2010: The Nemotsava of Shri Dhoomavati and Five Families’ deities (Pancha Parivara Daivas) was held from 21st to 23 rd April 2010. On Wednesday, 21st April 2010, at around 9 pm the idol of Shri Dhoomavati along with the accessories of the deity such as sword, utensils, lamps, etc. were brought from the Gutthu House in a procession to the temple of Shri dhoomavati. After the traditional ‘darshan’ conducted by the veteran Sudhakar and Raju Poojary, the idol was kept in a specially arranged place in the pandal in front of the temple.
On Thursday, 22nd April 2010, the idol of the deity was cleansed and decorated. In the noon free lunch was provided to the devotees sponsored by Shri Vishwanath Shetty of Takdabail House. At 6 pm, the traditional Nemotsava, also known as ‘Kola’ was performed by Boggu and Manmatha. At around 12 midnight Sudhakar and Raju prepared themselves for the ‘darshan’ and wearing the traditional attire carried the idol on their heads. The darshan continued till 6am in the morning of Friday, 2010.
At around 10 am on Friday, 23rd April 2010 there was the Nemotsava of the Pancha Parivara Daivas among whom the ‘Marl Jummadi’ is considered to be the most powerful who runs in different directions taking whatever it gets in its direction of mad rush.
