Mangalore, 18 Feb 2012: St. Joseph College, Jeppu-Mangalore celebrated Talents Day on February 18, 2012 in the college premises. A large number of students participated in the Variety Entertainment Competition organised on the occasion manifested their talents and performance skills.
Following the competition, prize distribution function was held. Prizes and merit sertificates were distributed to the students who were winners in the competition and the winners of the various events that were held throughout the year. Besides, students who excelled in the academics were also awarded Proficiency Certificates.
Deepak D’Silva and Ms. Vaishali of Second BBM who secured the first prize in the National level competition at St. Aloysius College were also honoured at this occasion.
Rev. Fr. J.B. Crasta, the Correspondent of the College and the Director of the St. Joseph Industrial Work Shop, Jeppu presided over the function and gave away the prizes and certificates. Speaking at this occasion, Rev. Fr. Crasta asked the students to be more active in their academic, curricular and extra-curricular activities. He also asked them to be proud of themselves and their institution. He thanked the staff for their selfless service in educating the students.
Rev. Fr. Eric Crasta, Principal of the College welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Namitha Kanchan, in charge of the Cultural Activities proposed the vote of thanks and the programme was compeered by Ms. Michelle Pinto.
