Abu Dhabi: Mangaloreans Join Goans in Celebrating Valentine and Carnival

Abu Dhabi, 17 Feb 2012: Goan community along with Mangaloreans celebrated Valentine Dance 2012 with a Carnival Flavour at the Foodlands Banquet Hall.  The main organizer Mr. Santana Fernandes who has a reputation of putting up packed and fun filled events for the last 6 years, with some of the renowned DJs and Solo artists from Dubai and Abu Dhabi was back with a bang.  It was a thrilling sight to see the Goan and Mangalorean community coming together along with party goers from various parts of India to enjoy the Valentine Spirit and get drowned in the Carnival fever from the word go.

 

The music was provided by DJ Rudy a renowned disc Jockey based in Abu Dhabi, who provided the best in Ballroom and Desi Remixes keeping the crowd dazed on the floor with his witty mixes.  DJ Savio was at his very best with his usual Hip Hop and Club mixes painting the floor red hot with some scintillating music.  Both did a commendable job in keeping the crowd truly enthralled right through the night and into wee hours of the morning.

 

The highlight of the evening was an awesome Solo performance by Mr. Michael Lobo from Dubai who kept the packed crowd on their feet with tracks from his latest released Album “ Gopant Tum Eio” and a few catchy cover songs which left the crowd asking for more and at times spell bounded with his mind blowing vocals.  He has performed at various live events in Goa and at the recently concluded New Year Bash 2012 in Dubai.

 

 

There was a surprise performance by Illusionist Igge who added the icing on the cake with his magical performance who kept the adults as well as then kids on the endge of their seats.

 

The mood of the evening was taken care by none other than one of the Abu Dhabi’s best Master of Ceremonies, Mr. Avito Carvalho who welcomed the gathering and kept them alive with warmth and intimacy till the end of the function.

 

The dance would not be possible without the support and generosity of Mr. Vijay Reina (Foodlands Hotel) Mr. Anand from ADMMI, Abu Dhabi, Ajmal Perfumes, Elekta, Rainbow Milk, Nihal Hotel, Crown Plaza, Le Meridien.
