Silver Jubilee of Fr Dominic Vaz’s Priesthood Celebrated

Mumbai, 06 Feb 2012: It was a great day of joy and celebration for the parish community of Mira Road as their parish priest Fr Dominic Vaz celebrated the silver jubilee of his priestly ministry.

 

The celebration began with a thanksgiving mass, joined by Fr Provincial and many Carmelite friars. Thereafter the jubilarian, his mother and well-wishers were led through a procession as children of St Joseph school and people gave their wishes him.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fr Michael Morris Shenoy welcomed all on this special occasion. After the cutting of the cake, provincial Fr Archie raised the toast wishing Fr Dominic success in his priestly ministry.

 

A cultural programme was held in his honour. Fr Ivan D’souza presented some video clips showing the life of Fr Dominic, in which people’s views and wishes were also highlighted. It was followed by dances, skits by children, youth, fathers and brothers and dinner. The programme was compered by Arthur, Br Cannio and Natashia.
