New Delhi, 02 Jan 2012: Vozram Motiam a treasure of Konkani Songs produced by Mandd Sobhann Vol. 8 composed by most renowned Konkani Kala Ratna Award Winner and Karnataka Rajyosthava Award winner Shri. Eric Ozario was released in National Capital New Delhi by the Spiritual Director of Kanara cultural Association, New Delhi and the Diocesan Youth Director Fr. Chetan Machado, today on the 1st day of New Year 2012. The venue was the most renowned location for Christians in Delhi the Sacred Heart Cathedral, 1 Ashoka Place, New Delhi, at 10.00 am.
Fr. Chetan Machado the Spiritual Director of KCA, New Delhi and the Diocesan Youth Director while releasing the Music CD composed by Shri Eric Ozario expressed great satisfaction and considered it an honour to offer the same to all the konkani speaking people of Delhi. He said with pride that he is an ardent admirer of Mr. Ozario’s music, besides He also said that the songs sung by Shri Ozario have always been world famous and have made him a house hold name in the Konkani music world.
He also praised while placed on record the enormous service and contribution Mr. Ozario single handedly done for the Konkani Music specially Folk Music and Konkani culture as a whole. While releasing the same at the National Capital New Delhi he recalled with gratitude the 2010 programme of Ovlik organized by KCA New Delhi in collaboration with Mandd Sobhann, Mangalore, which was a great hit; organized at the Delhi’s Constitutional Club as part of the curtain raiser for the 1st World Konkani Convention, wherein the Ozario couple sang some unforgettable and memorable Konkani folk songs, greatly admired by the gathering and even Smt. Sheila Dikshit, CM, New Dellhi was mesmerized by his magical voice.
Also present at the time of the Music CD release were Mr. Vincent Menezes, the dynamic President of KCA, New Delhi, Dr. Edward Mathias, Treasure of KCA, Mr. Elias Pinto, Executive Committee Member and his wife Milgrade Pinto and Mr. Wilfred D’souza, the Ex- General Secretary of KCA.
