UK: KCA Holds Christmas Celebration at Manchester

Manchester, 23 December 2011: With cultural cohesion as its paramount objective, for the fifth successive year, KCA UK held the Christmas celebration, which is popularly known as ‘Christmas Boom’ . The event was held in Hotel Nawaab Stockport, Manchester on December 17. About 28 families gathered from all over the UK to be part of this fun-filled evening.

 

The event commenced with a magic show and face-painting for children from Baz Entertainers - Manchester. Master of ceremonies Santosh Sequeira gave a friendly start to the event by calling every family on to the stage. KCA UK president Stany Rodrigues welcomed the guests and urged them to make full use of all the activities lined up for the evening.

 

Excitements were high when Santa Clause came over to the stage, which was followed by carol singing by children and women. Santa gave away presents to all the children. James Ravi Pinto from Liverpool as Santa, along with some outstanding music from DJ Sujith Rodrigues from Manchester gave a thrilling beginning to the event. Most of the children were dressed for Christmas occasion as Santa, which gave an extra flavour to the event.

 

As scheduled, the the beverages were introduced with Martin Saldanha in charge of the set-up. This is followed by some exciting games both for men and women, conducted by Santhosh Pinto. Anil D’Souza from Derby and Diana Monis from Warrington were the winners. Reo D’Souza and Praveen Solomon gave away the prizes to the winners.

 

 

An up-and-coming talent of Liverpool, Prathvi Shetty performed Indian contemporary dance on the stage. James Ravi Pinto, Stany Rodrigues, Santhosh Pinto, Marina Monis, Lainet Pinto and Reena Rodrigues performed a group dance ‘Senorita’. Both the performances were well appreciated by the guests.

 

After dinner was served by Nawaab Restaurant, a comedy version of a wedding by Cyril Pinto, Ravi Pinto, Anil D’Souza, Santhosh Pinto, Lainet Pinto and Stany Rodrigues. Andrew Noronha from Blackburn took charge of the photography. Lighting and music system was managed by Santhosh Pinto Manchester.

 

Secretary Vinod Barboza offered his sincere thanks to the sponsors and all who worked hard to make the event possible and successful. KCA UK thanked sponsors Praveen Soanes, Arshiya Periera and Evet Pinto for their generosity. In the late hour of the event, all invities were engaged in a non-stop dance session.

 

’Family of the day’ prize was won by Kenneth D’Sa and family from Herford, Sujith Rodrigues and Anthony Mary Rodrigues from Manchester honoured the winner. Christmas Hamper was won by Lilly Stalin couple, Manchester. Martin Saldanha and Arshiya Periera honoured the winners.
