Udupi, 06 November 2011: Gowda Saraswatha Brahmana Welfare Vedike urged on the two injustice to the members of their community and conducted a symbolic protest in front of Deputy Commissioner’s Office and submitted the petition to the District Superintendent of Police.
On 02nd August Deepali Kamath belonging to Saraswatha Community had gone to Kunjaru Giri Temple along with her Parents and daughter. As per the invitation from the workers they sat for taking the meals there. After serving the leaf and the rice, some other workers made Kamath and her family to get up from there and by insulting to the caste they sent them out. Hence for refusing to serve food to the hungry in the temple the action to be taken for those who refused, it is mentioned in the petition.
Similarly in Saligrama Sanjeeva Kini couples were murdered and now two months have passed but so far there is no progress in the case. So, immediately the enquiry has to be activated and the guilty to be arrested and the family of the deceased and the Gowda Saraswatha community should be given justice, urged in the petition.
On this occasion GSB Temples Union President Radhakrishna Shenoy, Udupi Vihimpa President Mattar Ratnakar Kini, GSB Youth Mandali President Subbanna Pai, Vivekananda Shenoy Karkala, Narasimha Kamath Sanoor, Sathish Nayak Nada, Narahari Shenoy Saligrama, Shashikantha Shenoy Jadnalu, D. Gopinatha Kamath, Jeepathi Kamath, Vasantha Kamath, Vykunta Kamath and others were present.
