Udupi, 31 October 2011: As BJP leader Advani will be arriving to Udupi, the District Youth Congress conducted protest procession displaying the black flags. The procession which began in Ambalpady, passed through the main roads of Udupi city and then ended in front of the Gandhi statue near service bus stand. There a public assembly was organized.
Speaking on the occasion Former Minister Jayaprakash Hegde said that, many more Ministers and MLA’s from the BJP government will be going to jail, for this purpose a direct metro from the Vidhana Soudha to Parappa Agrahara jail needs to be started. Immediately after going to the jail they will fall sick, so just next to the jail a super speciality hospital has to be built, he made mockery of them.
Apart from one or two in the BJP government, if everyone else go to the jail, then definitely the government will fall, and then even Sadananda Gowda also will have to give up his position. So then he will have the plight of going to the Lokasabha, Hegde forecasted. If Advani has any dignity, he should not step into Karnataka where the government has defamed to the principles of BJP, said Udupi Block Congress President Pramodh Madhwaraj.
Congress District President Gopal Poojary spoke and said that, do not know with what face Advani will arrive, and do not know why he still feels that BJP is still in existence here, he said. In the protest rally Women’s Congress President Veronika Carnelio, Intak President Murali Shetty, District spokes person Krishnamurthy, Block Presidents; Neere Krishna Shetty, Shambhu Poojary, Gangadhara Suvarna, Rajesh Shetty, Foremer District President M.A. Gafoor, Former District Secretary Narasimhamurthy were present.
