Post Centenary Silver Jubilee Cross passed on to the Shirva Parish

Pamboor, 28 October 2011: The Post-centenary Silver Jubilee Holy Cross which was received on October 26, 2011 by the Pamboor Parish  was taken to Our Lady Of Health Church Shirva on Friday, October 28, 2011 and was passed on with great reverence and devotion to the parishioners and the Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Stany Tauro by Rev. Fr. Charles Lewis, Parish Priest oof the Holy Cross Church, Pamboor.

 

Before the Holy Cross made its journey to Shirva, Way of the Cross was conducted in the Pamboor church which was attended by a large number of parishioners. At 3 pm the Holy Cross was taken in a vehicle rally to Shirva. The parishioners sang hymns under the guidance of Vincent Alva.

 

 

The procession was led by ’Melody Stars’- a country band from Pamboor. The rally  reached Shirva Parish at 4pm. The Parish Priest of Shirva, Rev.Fr.Stany Tauro welcomed the Holy Cross  near the main entrance. After installing the Holy Cross in front of the  main altar, a short prayer service was conducted by Rev. Fr. Stany Tauro followed by Mass.
