Gavisiddha N. Bellary Poetry Award for the manuscript of Anita P. Takode’s poetry collection

Mumbai , ( RBI ) June 29 : Every year , the poet Gavisidda N. Bellary Literary, Cultural Art and Rural Development Service Organization (R) Koppal invites poetry manuscripts at the state level and awards the ’Gavisidda N. Bellary Poetry Award’ to two selected poetry manuscripts. The ’Gavisidda N. Bellary - Poetry Award’ for the year 2025 has been awarded to the manuscript of the poetry collection ’Menakkanti Batti’ by Anita P. Takode. This award consists of Rs. 6,000. Cash and plaques. The award will be presented at the ’Gavisidda N. Bellary Literary Festival’ to be held in Koppal in November, said the coordinator Mahesh Bellary in a statement.

 

Anita, who is advancing in the field of literature as a poet, story writer, and columnist, has earned her M.A. degree from Mumbai University with first class and has qualified for the M.B. Kukyan Gold Medal. She also participated in the world-famous Dasara Poet’s Festival at the Mysore Palace in 2019 and received an honorary award.

Eight of his works have been published. For his Ph.D. coursework, Jaya C. Suvarna’s ’Suvarna Yuga’ research paper prepared on Suvarna received the ’Shodhasiri’ award from Mumbai University researcher Dr. Leela B., and the Vikas Book Prize from Dr. Vishwanath Karnad Foundation. The collection of chicken stories that have been abandoned has received the K. Vasudevacharya Endowment Award for the year 2022 from the Kannada Sahitya Parishad, and the ’Padmavati Venkatesha Endowment Award’ from Manikya Prakashan Hassan. The work ’Mohana Taranga’ has received a cash award from the Department of Kannada and Culture, Government of Karnataka, for the year 2019-20.

 

The manuscript of “Antarangada Mridanga” has been awarded the “Shrimati Sushila S Shetty Memorial Poetry Award” by Jagajyothi Kalavranda Mumbai and the “Allama Sahitya Prasad” by “Janaspandana Trust (R) Suvvi Publications, Shikaripura”. In 2025, he received the Arate Nagamma Sheshappa Poojary Memorial Award from Chembur Karnataka Sangha. He has received several awards for his literary achievements. He is currently pursuing his PhD research under the guidance of Dr. G.N. Upadhyay at Mumbai University.
