Journalists from Mangalore Distribute Educational Material to Students

Mangalore/Shirur: Members of Journalists Charana Balaga Mangalore visited Shirur in Ankola taluk of North Kannada district on Friday, where a hill collapsed last year. Materials were distributed. Kallur Education Trust, U.R. The foundation supported.

 

Vithal Nayak of Kallur Education Trust, who was the chief guest of the programme, said, “Last year, the journalists who came here during the landslide in Shirur, besides their duty, provided food items and essential items to the students who lost their homes. The journalists have been able to distribute books and necessary materials to the school children. Let’s do more social work,” he said.

 

Journalist Shashi Bellayaru said, “Last year, we observed the situation of the villagers and the children here and gave them our help. Our main objective is to ensure that the children studying in government schools grow up academically and make a good name in the society,” he said.

Teacher Sandhya V. Naik said, “The children of our school will always remember this team of journalists from Mangalore. Remember, we will always be grateful to you for providing educational assistance to the children.
