Doha-Qatar: Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ) organized a heartfelt farewell at the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) to honor Sri Narayan Rao and Smt. Shobha Rao, who are leaving Qatar to settle in India after 28 years of residence.
Sri Narayan Rao, formerly with Qatar Electricity & Water Co., has selflessly served KSQ and many other associations, utilizing his expertise in auditing and financial statement preparation—a key requirement under ICC and the Embassy of India.
The event commenced with an opening note by General Secretary Kumar Swamy, followed by Environmental & Logistics Secretary Shashidhar HB leading the proceedings, beginning with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
Heartfelt Tributes & Felicitation
KSQ President Ravi Shetty expressed his gratitude on behalf of KSQ and other organizations for Sri Narayan Rao’s dedicated service since the inception of these associations. Former President Madhu H K lauded Sri Rao’s contributions across social, spiritual, and professional sectors, highlighting the support of Smt. Shobha Rao and their children’s academic excellence.
Sri Narayan Rao and Smt. Shobha Rao were felicitated by the President, Former Presidents & Advisors, who presented them with a Farewell Memento as a Token of Gratitude.
In his address, Sri Narayan Rao thanked Karnataka Sangha Qatar and shared words of wisdom for leading a peaceful and fulfilling life. Smt. Shobha Rao also reflected on her fruitful association with KSQ and well-wishers.
Advisors Arun Kumar, V S Mannangi, and Subramanya Hebbagelu, Indian Sports Centre Advisory Panel Member conveyed their appreciation and echoed that Narayan Rao’s departure is a great loss to the community in Qatar.
