Mangaluru, March 21, 2025 – The Mega Bible Convention 2025 continued with great fervour on its second day at Holy Cross Church, Cordel Grounds, Kulshekar, drawing an overwhelming number of faithful seeking spiritual renewal. Organised by the Mangalore Diocesan Service Communion (MDSC) in collaboration with the Bible Commission, the convention has been a beacon of faith, healing, and transformation for thousands of attendees.
Solemn Eucharistic Celebration
The day began with a Solemn Eucharistic Celebration, presided over by Most Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore. Joining him in concelebration were:

Bishop Saldanha’s Inspiring Message
Delivering a powerful homily, Bishop Peter Paul Saldanha reflected on the Gift of the Word of God to humanity, emphasising that:"The Word of God is a treasure, a guiding light that brings healing and peace. It is the embodiment of truth and justice, leading us on the path of righteousness. This convention calls us to embrace faith, seek peace, and walk in truth. May this gathering be a moment of self-discovery, helping us recognize our weaknesses and find renewal in Christ."
Spiritual Talks, Worship, and Adoration
The highlight of the day was an anointed session by Rev. Fr Dominic Valanmanal from the Marian Retreat Centre, Annakara, Kerala, who, along with his team, led the faithful through praise and worship, spiritual teachings, deliverance prayers, and adoration. His powerful sermons touched upon the transformative power of faith and the healing grace of God’s Word.
The praise and worship session was led by Br Kevan D’Souza, Chairman of MDSC, alongside Br Ozmond Lobo and his team. Their heartfelt renditions, supported by the Cordel Church Choir, created an atmosphere of deep devotion and prayer.
Sacrament of Confession and Spiritual Guidance
During the daytime, participants were given the opportunity to engage in spiritual guidance and the Sacrament of Confession, offering them a chance for personal reflection and reconciliation. This initiative provided a renewed sense of faith and inner healing, preparing them for the remaining days of the convention.
