Mumbai, (RBI) Mar. 21: Senior Tulu-Kannada politician Laxman C. Poojary Chitrapu, leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in Brihanmumbai, has been appointed as the North East (North Mumbai) District Inspector by Mumbai Pradesh Nationalist Congress (Sharad Chandra Pawar) Party President Rakhi Jadhav, an official statement said.
Laxman Poojary, originally from Chitrapu, Mulki, Mangalore, in the undivided Dakshina Kannada district, is a simple gentleman and an experienced royal. Always behind the scenes, he is involved in social and public service. He is a member of the AICC Congress party and was a city servant candidate in the 1997 BMC elections. He has been active in the NCP since the party’s inception in 1999 and has worked in various positions. Laxman Poojary, who is known as a close associate of the All India National President of the Nationalist Congress Party, Sharad Pawar, has worked as a member of Mada, a member of the Western Regional Railway Board, a former president of Chitrapu Billava Sangha, and the vice president of the Mulki Billava Sangha Mumbai Committee.
