IBCCI’s Annual Bunts Star Achievers Award 2025 held in Mumbai

Mumbai, 02 Mar 2025: “The excitement surrounding the Bunts Achievers Award has been an inspiration for all of us. I have always felt a natural inclination to go to Bunts Sangha and contribute in any way needed. I’d call it the Star Bunts Achievers Award because all of you here are stars. All the Bunts are ever-shining stars. I am proud to be a part of the community I was born into. Wherever you go, people talk about resilience, consistency, hard work, and unity—that is the Bunts community. We are the hardest-working, most dependable, and most loved community. We come from humble backgrounds, but we are true achievers,” said Suniel Shetty, a businessman and renowned Bollywood actor.

 

Suniel Shetty inaugurated the IBCCI’s Annual Bunts Star Achievers Award 2025 ceremony, hosted by the Indian Bunts Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Saturday evening at Hotel Sahara Star, Mumbai.

 

Lumens Group of India’s managing director and IBCCI president K C Shetty (Kutpadi Chandra Shetty) presided over the grand function as chief guest. Former chief minister of Karnataka and former union minister D V Sadananda Gowda, Allcargo Logistics chairman Shashikiran Shetty, Bunts Sangha Mumbai president Praveen Bhoja Shetty, and Deloitte South Asia CEO Romal Shetty were present as keynote speakers.

The guests honoured and congratulated the awardees with award plaques, and the recipients expressed their gratitude.

 

D V Sadananda Gowda noted that India is the fastest-growing economy in the world, crediting businessmen and enterprises for this achievement. He emphasized the unique contributions of industrialists in this competitive age and lauded the Bunts community for their hard work and growth.

 

Shashikiran Shetty expressed pride in seeing many entrepreneurs from the Bunts community. He encouraged Bunts to think globally, as 97% of the business opportunities lie outside India. He praised the IBCCI for recognizing and honouring achievers in various professions.

 

Romal Shetty highlighted India’s economic growth despite global challenges and applauded the Bunts community’s success and unity.

 

Praveen Shetty expressed his desire to see Bunts unity under one roof, particularly as the Bunts Sangha approaches its centenary. He praised K C Shetty’s leadership and the programme’s success as a testament to the community’s strength.

 

K C Shetty spoke about the IBCCI’s mission to empower the Bunts community, especially the next generation, to become job creators rather than job seekers. He emphasized entrepreneurship, innovation, and community support as key drivers of economic growth.
