Prabha NP Suvarna couple felicitated by fans

Mumbai (RBI), Jan. 16: The fan club of famous social workers N.P. Suvarna and Prabha Suvarna in Brihanmumbai organized a felicitation ceremony at the Guru Narayana Auditorium in Billavar Bhavan, Santacruz East, last Saturday.

 

The felicitation ceremony was presided over by Dr. Sadananda R. Shetty, a renowned cardiologist of Brihanmumbai and a recipient of the Outlook Presentation’s Best Doctors Award. The event was attended by famous folk singer Gona Swamy Bangalore, Mahesh Hotels Group Director Sharada S. Karkera, Yashoda N.T. Poojary, Vrinda Gokarna, Karnataka Sangha Andheri President Bhaskar Suvarna Sasihitlu and other dignitaries participated and extended their best wishes.

 

God’s grace is always there for hard work. Dr. Sadananda Shetty said that the golden couple, who have achieved success in life through service and have spent their married life with immense hard work even in their seventies, are an inspiration to the younger generation.

In a program organized by the members of the Andheri Kannada Sangha and the fan club, the golden couple was welcomed into the Billava Bhavan in a chariot and welcomed to the stage with a band and musical instruments. They were draped in shawls, turbans, beauty crowns, presented with a flower memento, and felicitations were paid.

 

A devotional group singing competition was organized on the occasion of the program in which ten teams participated. Shivapriya Bhajana Mandal Viraroad (first), Navodaya Kannada Seva Sangh Thane (second) and Dahanurkarwadi Kannada Sangh Kandivali (third) won. The winning and participating teams were honored with cash prizes and mementos.

 

Architect Pm| Navinchandra Sanil, Mallikarjuna Badigera, Rajesh Gokarna of the Suvarna Couple Parivar, Shashikant Karkera, Ma| Aryaman Gokarna and many others were present at the event. Prasad and the team presented a Bengaluru Nadaswara music concert. Singer Go. Na. Swamy sang folk songs. Kallige Dayasagar Chowta and Deepa Parish Shetty Dombivali compered the program. Prabha Suvarna delivered the felicitations.
