Udupi: The Kallianpur Deanery hosted a significant gathering of self-employed businessmen and entrepreneurs on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 3:30 PM in the Amulya Auditorium of the diocesan pastoral house, Anugraha. The event aimed to foster mutual understanding and benefit among business professionals within the community.
The program commenced with a prayer invoking the blessings of the Holy Spirit. Mrs. Rosy Quadros, President of Catholic Sabha Kallianpur Varado, warmly welcomed the attendees, setting a positive tone for the event.
Msgr. Ferdinand Gonsalves, Vicar General of the Udupi Diocese and Spiritual Director of the Catholic Sabha, graced the occasion as a distinguished guest. He commended the initiative, acknowledging its potential to unite the business community and wished the gathering success in achieving its objectives.
Mr. Elias D’Souza, Deanery Convenor of the seminar and President of Catholic Sabha Mount Rosary Church, Santhekatte, delivered the keynote address. He highlighted the purpose of the meeting, aligning it with the Bishop’s vision of fostering unity and collaboration among like-minded professionals.
The main resource person for the day, Mr. Alwyn Quadros, a successful businessman and former two-term President of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh, shared valuable insights during his interactive session. In a noteworthy segment of the event, the Konkani novel Teen Egarjyo ani Yek Kutam by Dr. Gerald Pinto was ceremonially released by Mr. Santhosh Carnelio, President of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh, accompanied by other dignitaries on the dais.
