Udupi/Barkur, 13 Dec: The two-day Annual Day celebrations of the prestigious SVVN English Medium High School commenced on a vibrant note on Friday, 13th December 2024, at 9:30 am. The festivities began with a colourful procession, accompanied by the melodious school band, to warmly welcome the esteemed guests and dignitaries.
The glittering prize distribution ceremony was presided over by the Chairman of BES, showcasing the institution’s commitment to excellence in academics, sports, and extracurricular activities. The event was graced by several notable personalities:
Retired Principal of NJC Barkur and Vice President of BES, who inspired the gathering with his profound insights.
Dr. Sakarama Somayaji, retired Professor of JNU, New Delhi, who highlighted the significance of holistic education.
Mr. Ganesh Kumar Shetty, President of Rotary Club Barkur, who appreciated the school’s dedication to fostering talent. Mr Deepak Kini an alumnus of SVVN recalled his nostalgic experience and values he imbibed always light post in his career.
All the guests on the dais distributed the various prizes, trophies etc in cultural competition held both to give an opportunity to expose and explore the hidden talents and strengths to light.
A heartwarming felicitation address was delivered by Mr. N. Sudheer Kamath, Assistant Teacher, Aided Higher Primary School, New Karkada. His words of encouragement and wisdom left a lasting impression on everyone present.
The event transitioned into a lively celebration as entertainment games were organized for old students and parents from 11:00 am onwards, adding joy and nostalgia to the occasion.
The festivities will continue tomorrow, 14th December 2024, with a Grand Finale stage program at 5:00 pm sharp. Preceding the finale, cultural programs by pre-primary students will be held from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm, promising an evening filled with creativity, talent, and enthusiasm.
