Kanara Catholic Association Mumbai Christmas Cheer 2024

Mumbai, Dec.11: KCA Bandra, Mumbai led by the President Mr. Sunil Lobo had started their Christmas celebrations for its members and guests on 7th December at KCA Walter Nazareth Hall. The event started with a prayer from Fr. Richard Crasta Parish Priest of St Michaels Church, Mahim. Fr. Richard has been handling the church properties for over several decades. The event had a live music by AL Jude and his band that are well known in the Mumbai circles and play at various gymkhanas.

 

The event was organized by the MC member Ms Clara Menezes and her team, whilst the Food & Beverages was handled by Anil Pais MC member. As always, KCA Mumbai always invites a Chief Guest and this time too, Mr.Edwin Pinto Managing Director of DHL Global Forwarding was invited and was introduced by Mr Sanjay Rego Gen. Secretary of KCA. Mr. Pinto was felicitated by Adrian Vaz Sr Vice President.

 

The Quarterly Amchi Khobar was released in the presence of the Chief Guest Mr Edwin Pinto along with the MC members which also included the TreasurerMr Boris Buthelo. Other MC members who were present for the function were Ms. Anne Marie Rego, Mr. Christopher Alvares, Mr. Neel Dsouza and Mrs. Neisha Lobo along with the Chief Editor Mr. Rolin Mendonca.

The members were thrilled to have met Mr. Ashish Shelar the 3rd time elect local MLA of Bandra who addressed the gatherings and gave his personal mobile number in case any citizen had any issues in his constituency. Mr. Shelar also informed the members that his son studied his engineering in Manipal and loves the Mangalorean cuisine. Mr. Shelar who is the current Treasurer of BCCI spoke fondly of Roger Binny  ex cricketer.

 

Mr. Ashish Shelar was introduced and felicitated by the President Mr. Sunil Lobo. The members enjoyed the music and dance along with the games led by the compere Ms Suzie D’Silva who kept everyone on their toes.

 

The dinner was provided by Flora Caterers with Fr. Richard saying the Grace before meals.The party went on till late night with members and guests having a good time and a great beginning to the Christmas season.
