Doha-Qatar: First time for India. Paralympic. In tournaments. Mr. Muralikanta Peter, who has been awarded the Suvarnapadaka Swarna Medal, was recently felicitated at the Ashoka Hall, Awaran, Indian Cultural Center in Qatar. His bravery in the war while serving in the Indian Army, facing eight bullets, surviving and bringing India a gold medal in the 1972 Paralympic Games, is an inspiration to many generations.
