Bantwala: Young boy dies being struck by lightning in Kedila village

Bantwala: A young boy identified as Subhod (14), son of Chandrahasa, a resident of Muriaje here died being struck by lightening on Sunday, 17 November 2024 at around 5.30 pm. He was sitting in the sitting room of the house when he was struck by lightning and fell seriously ill. 

 

The family members immediately brought him to a clinic where he was instructed to take him to the Puttur hospital. Accordingly, he was taken to a private hospital in Puttur, where the doctor said that the boy had died by then. Later, the dead body was sent to Puttur Government Hospital for post-mortem. Shubhod Kalladka was a class 8 student in Shriram High School. Tehsildar Archana Bhatt has directed the revenue officials for further remedial action.

Vitla Revenue Inspector Prashant Shetty, Village Administrator Anil Kumar, Kedila Gram Panchayat President Harish Valtaje, Members Umesh Muruva, Haziz visited the hospital.
