Bengaluru: St. Joseph’s School, CBSE, Vital Mallya Road, Bengaluru celebrated Children’s Day on 14th November, 2024 with great festive fervor, to commemorate the 135th birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The Program begin by invoking God’s blessing through prayer and song followed by an homage to Chacha Nehru.
Children’s day has deep significance as it aims to highlight the importance of children in shaping the future of the country. This day is marked with various activities that focus on fun learning and creativity. Our school organized competitions from Pre-KG to Class 12 like collage, colouring, fancy dress, Nehru cap making, puppet making, poetry and many more to engage children in the entertaining atmosphere. Cultural program such as singing, dance, skit, fashion show and beat boxing was captivating for the day.
Our Chief Guest, Miss Sweezal Furtado, who has made all Indians proud by clinching the coveted title of ‘MISS GLOBAL INDIA 2024’ at the recently held pageant in Jaipur and she will be representing India Internationally in ‘MISS GLOBAL’ next year. She has placed many feathers to her cap. Miss Sweezal encouraged the students to discover new talents hidden in them. She shared about her journey she faced tricky challenges that fell like giant mountains to climb. That’s when she remembers her family, friends and mentors who believed in her.
Our Finance Officer Rev Fr. Royston Pinto highlighted about the importance of Children’s Day and show respect to the parents and elders with a word of gratitude by having dedication in whatever we do. Our Vice Principal Sr. Sheena Joseph shared her thoughts about Children’s Day remembering Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on this special day.
