Udupi: Friday, 1st November, 2024 has witnessed three celebrations together – The All Saints Day, 69th Karnataka Rajyotsava and Deepavali, the festival lights - in the Church Campus. After the festal Holy Mass at 7.30 am, the main celebrant and the parish priest Rev Dr Roque DSouza offered special prayers, emphasizing the importance of safety and divine protection for those who travel and blessed the vehicles along with Assistant Vicar Rev Fr Oliver C. Nazareth.
Catholic Sabha Mount Rosary Church Unit led by its President Mr Elias DSouza and team, made elaborate and systematic parking arrangements for wide range of vehicles with reserved slots for various categories.
Following the Mass, the priest conducted the blessing in the church premises, where vehicles lined up as the priest moved from one to the next, sprinkling holy water and offering blessings to protect drivers, passengers, and pedestrians.
The event highlighted a long-standing tradition in the community, bringing together parishioners in faith and unity. Many parishioners expressed gratitude for the blessings, hoping for safety in their daily travels and journeys.
