Training Workshop on Konkani Folk Song and Instruments at Thottam Church on October 31

Udupi: A training workshop on Konkani folk songs and instruments for students was organized on October 31 from 9 am to 4.30 pm in the church hall under the leadership of Diocesan Youth Catholic Student Organization and Thottam St. Anne’s Church, Thottam YCS unit.

 

The workshop will be inaugurated by renowned singer Konkan Maina. Meena Rebimbus, wife of  late Wilfie Rebimbus, will officiate and Rev. Denis D’Sa of Thottam Church will preside.

In the closing ceremony which will be held in the evening, the Bishop of Udupi Diocese, Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo will participate.

 

Organizers in a press release requested that the young people of the Diocese take advantage of this as an excellent opportunity for young students to get training in Konkani folk songs and instruments.
