In his address regarding the Cancer Awareness, Stanley Fernandes said that cancer cells are present in the bodies of every individual. But when these cells behave in an irrational manner the symptoms of cancer manifest. It is important to get regular check-up to detect the presence of cancerous growth in the body in time so that it can be treated and cured. Cancer can be completely cured if it is detected at the first or second stage. Late detection of cancer will be difficult to treat. Hence, cancer awareness and check-up are the important stages in the treatment of cancer.
