Udupi, 07 May 2024: Unnatural human attacks on the environment have created an irreparable damage to the globe said Mr Anil Danthy addressing the students in the college. Human selfishness is more dangerous than a war he argued keeping the variety of examples before the gathering. He was the main speaker on the occasion of the world environment day organised by Eco Club and NSS unit in collaboration with the college IQAC.
Dr Jayaram Shettigar the IQAC coordinator of the college spoke on the occasion and said mother earth should be loved and taken care because she is the mother and home for an enormous amount of seen and unseen beings who live only to die for the good of everyone.
The Miyawaki forest created at the college was pruned and weeded away by the NSS volunteers to mark the day.
Mrs Anupama Jogi, the NSS officer, Mrs Rekha U, convener for Eco Club, Dr Surekha Bhat, Mrs Shubhalatha, Dr Nithyananda Shetty, Ms Aparna, Ms Kavya Pai, Ms Manjula, Ms Pratima, Mrs Chandrika,Mrs Amrutha Lewis, Mrs Dulari Mohan and Mr Ravinandan Bhat were present.
