Milagres College Kallianpur organizes, second successful Blood Donation Camp in one academic year

Kallianpur, 29 May 2024: Milagres College Kallianpur, under the banner of its NSS units, successfully organized a blood donation camp on May 28, 2024. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Deep, Chief of the Blood Centre at Kasturba Hospital, Manipal, who appreciated the institution for conducting its second blood donation drive of the year.

 

Dr. Vincent Alva, Principal of Milagres College Kallianpur, presided over the program, which was attended by Ln Jagadish Acharya, President of Lions Club, Udupi, Chethana, Mr. Salian, Abhaya Hastha Helpline, and Mrs. Clara Menezes, Convener, Youth Red Cross, as guests of honour.

 

 

Dr. Deep, in his inaugural address, thanked the institution for its efforts in organizing the blood donation camp for the second time in a year. He emphasized the importance of blood donation in saving lives and highlighted the satisfaction that comes from donating blood. He encouraged the students and staff to continue their efforts in organizing such camps and make a positive impact in the community.

 

A total of 65 units of blood were collected during the camp, which will be used to benefit patients in need at Kasturba Hospital, Manipal.

 

The college management and NSS units expressed their gratitude to the donors, guests, and volunteers who made the camp a success.
