Shirva: “Triveni Sangama” Torch rally supports Anna Hazare

Shirva, 25 August 2011: Massive torch rally “Triveni Sangama” conducted in Shirva on Tuesday evening led by Social Activist Ananthraya Shenoy, for the elimination of corruption, in support of Gandhian Anna Hazare who is on fasting for the implementation of the Janalokpal Bill. The torch rally finally concluded near Shirva Bus stand.

 

The torch rally was conducted united in three teams; from Belman Shirva Road in M.S.R.S. College cross, from Katapadi Shirva Road near Shirva Society and from Mudarangadi Shirva Road near Kuthyaru Grama Panchayath, holding the torches in hand with the slogans, all the Associations of Kuthyaru and Shirva at the same time proceeded in the rally.

 

 

Kuthyaru Prasad Shetty briefed the significance of this massive rally and explained on the Lokpal Bill implementation saying “Punishment to the corrupt – Protection to the country”. In this program Kuthyaru Mahila Mandala, Yuvaka Mandala, Sthree Shakthi Associations, Shirva Social Service Samithi, Pathanjali Yoga Samithi, Tempo Driver – Owner Union, Rickshaw Drivers – Owners Union, Sarvajanika Shri Ganeshotsava Samiti, Youngmens Association, Cultural Society, Rotary Club Shirva, Lions Club Shirva, Catholic Sabha, Mahila Mandala Shirva and the members of the both Grama Panchayaths got together in this protest torch rally. More than one thousand people participated in this protest movement.
