Kaup, 22 August 2011: My intention is to have development in the state without any politics, the way of my work itself is the answer to the critics of the opposition, said Karnataka State Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda. He was speaking in the felicitation function held in Kaup town led by MLA Lalaji Mendon on behalf of Kaup Constituency BJP on Sunday.
Speaking further he said that, he will be honestly working for the development of the state. Currently protest movement is being conducted against the corruption all over the country. But during my tenure as the Chief Minister this Sadananda Gowda whom you have selected and sent, will prove to the people of the state that I am not corrupt or do any partiality, he said.
Kaup MLA Lalaji R. Mendon read the list of the developments achieved by the Kaup constituency and submitted the petition to the Chief Minister. BJP Jilla President Udaykumar Shetty, Udupi MLA K. Raghupathi Bhat, Party leaders; Rukmaya Poojary, V. Sunil Kumar, Kota Shrinivasa Poojary, Thingale Vikramarjuna Hegde, Katapadi Shankara Poojary, Devdas Hebbar, Mattaru Ratnakar Hegde were present on the occasion. Kaup Constituency BJP President Naveen Shetty welcomed the guests and gathering. Prasad Shetty proposed vote of thanks.
With the pressure of continuous programs, Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda arrived to Kaup in the evening at about 5.00 pm. Hundreds of supports who were waiting to congratulate him since noon had to be disappointed. Upon his arrival, for congratulating the CM the party workers themselves had to struggle on the stage, so there was no room for the supporters on the stage to congratulate him.
Though Chief Minister received the garlands and petitions from many people as he came down the stage, with the milling and disarray of crowds the supporters finally had to stop his car on his way and congratulate him with garlands. Even though the Chief Minister responded to their feelings and requests, since he was surrounded by Black commandos and Police many had to struggle or just wait with the garland. Some could not garland him and had to return back. Even the leaders of the Raitha Sangha had to stop the car and submit their petitions.
On Sunday Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda visited Katapadi Anegundi Sansthana and received asheervachana from Paramapoojya Shri Kalahastendra Saraswati Swamiji. On this occasion Swamiji felicitated D.V. Sadananda Gowda. At Kaup Grama Panchayath premises Chief Minister laid foundation stone for the Grama Soudha Building.
Later CM visited Katapadi Shri Vishvanatha Kshethra, at that time on behalf of the temple management a petition was submitted to him on the development of the temple. Billava Mahamandala President Jaya C. Suvarna, temple management President Ashok Suvarna, MLAs Lalaji Mendon, K. Raghupathi Bhat, MLC Kota Shrinivasa Poojary, Former Minister Vasantha V. Salyan, Vi Sunil Kumar, Harishchanra Amin and Jilla Panchayath President Katapadi Shankara Poojary were present on the occasion.
