Udupi: Grand Felicitation to Chief Minister DVS

Udupi, 21 August 2011: It is not important that how long I will be in power, but how much work I will do is important, said new Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda which was deeply touching. He was speaking in Udupi on Saturday addressing the BJP workers, upon receiving floods of felicitations, in the function organized by Udupi Jilla BJP.

 

He said, when the party was in serious difficulties I have accepted the position of the Chief Minister, I have the strength to fulfill the responsibilities, will fulfill it, will not buckle to anybody’s pressure and will not give a chance to raise the ego of power in myself. My only aim is to serve the people, said Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda.

 

DVS was felicitated in a grand manner by dressing him with a huge Yakshagana crown on behalf of BJP. Also Dr. V.S. Acharya was felicitated similarly. And as a chorus to this both of them were praised by singing in Yakshagana Bhagavathi. After the felicitation by district BJP, various party’s zones, morchas and association’s office bearers and workers felicitated him with garlands in a competition.

 

 

BJP Jilla President Udaykumar Shetty presided over the function and also welcomed the guests and the gathering. Other guests and dignitaries present on the dias were; MLAs K. Raghupathi Bhat, Lalaji Mendon, Kota Srinivasa Poojary, Laxminarayana, Captain Ganesh Karthik, 3rd Finance Committee President A.G. Kodgi and Jilla Panchayath President Katapadi Shankara Poojary.

 

Mysore Tobacco Company President B.N. Shankara Poojary, District Inchargers; Rukmayya Poojary and Sulochana Bhat, State BJP Yuva Morcha President Sunil Kumar, Municipal Corporation President Kiran Kumar, City Development Authority President Sudhakara Shetty, Fishing Federation President Yashpal Suvarna and others were also present on the dias.
