Belman, 11 August 2011: Suitable environment is to be created for exploring the talents of children. Co-education is crucial for children to blossom physically, mentally, educationally and creatively, said Mallika Rao – President of Belman Grama Panchayath. She was speaking upon inaugurating the program on co-education activities, which was conducted for the students of the zone of Public Education department, Zonal Education Officer’s Office, Zonal Resource Centre Karkala, Group Resource Centre Nandalike.
Chief guests and other dignitaries present in the program were; Panchayath Member Geetha Prabhu, Karkala Taluk Aided School Teachers Union President V. K. Rao Nandalike and District Teachers Union Secretary Lakshmikantha Bhat. Cluster Director Karunakara Poojary in his introductory note briefed on the education departments objectives and the roles of teachers and parents on the educational progress of the students.
The program was presided over by SDMC President Gampadabailu Jayarama Prabhu. School Headmistress Vasanthi bai welcomed the guests and the gathering. Teacher Devdas Patkar compeered the program and also proposed vote of thanks. Various activities by the students including storytelling and speeches on the leaders of the country were conducted.
