Moodubelle,09 August 2011:Sportswear was distributed to 60 students of St. Lawrence Composite PU College on Monday, August 8, 2011 at in a brief function held at 3.30 pm in the PU College Hall. The sportswear was distributed on behalf of Moodubelle Charitable Trust. The function was presided over by Fr. Paul Sequeira, Principal of St. Lawrence Composite PU College.
In the absence of the President of the Moodubelle Charitable Trust-Valerian Alva, the function was attended by Mrs. Celestine Alva and Margaret D’Souza, mother and sister of Valerian Alva as well as Mrs. Helen D’Souza-Manager of the Moodubelle Charitable Trust and her husband-Felix D’Souza. Jointly they distributed the sportswear to the sports-students of the PUC classes and High School students.
In her brief message, Mrs. Helen D’Souza said that by distributing the sportswear to the students, Mr. Valerian Alva has bestowed his goodwill and inspiration to the students s that they can perform well in the sporting events.
Speaking at this occasion, Fr. Paul Sequeira said that he had a great dream of seeing his students in sportswear and this dream has been fulfilled by the generous efforts of the Moodubelle Charitable Trust under the able guidance of Mr. Valerian Alva.
The programme was compeered by Valerian Crasta, Physical Training Instructor of St. Lawrence High School; Joseph D’Souza, Physical Training Instructor of the PU College welcomed the guests and lecturer of the PU College, Srinivas Ballal proposed the vote of thanks.
