Karkala: Lourdes ICSE English Medium School, Kanajar Inaugurated

Karkala/Kanajar, 10 Feb 2023: Lourdes ICSE English Medium School, Kanajar in Karkala Taluk of Udupi District  was inaugurated  by Bishop Gerald Isaac Lobo on Thursday, 9 February 2023 at 4.30 pm in a function held in the Lourdes’s Souhardha Bhavan, Kanajr. Besides Fr. Vishal Lobo-Parish Priest of Our Lady of lourdes’s Church, Fr. Vincent Crasta-Secretary of CESU and Fr. Alexander Lewis, former Parish priest of Kanajar were present. 

 

Speaking on this occasion, Bishop Gerald Isaac Lobo said that the education provided in schools enables the youngsters to become responsible citizens of the country. Further he said that education does not just mean the ability to read and write, but a process through which the mental and physical faculties of an individual are developed in the right direction making them responsible human beings.

 

 

The keynote speaker of the day, Prof. Mathew C. Nainan-Director of the Little Rock School, Brahmavar said that the educational institutions which are started with right aims and objectives are bound to succeed. Good and efficient teachers can improve the quality of education bringing higher credit to the school.

 

Mrs. Jasmine Pinto, the Principal of the Lourdes ICSE English Medium School traced the growth of the school and saod that Lourdes ICSE English Medium School is the only school in the entire Udupi Distirct that is being approved by the Central ICSE Board. She mentioned that there are 372 students in the school who follow the ICSE syallabi.

 

Fr. Vincent Crasta, Secrtary of CESU wished well to the Lourdes ICSE School, Kanajar.

 

On this occasion all those who had contributed towards the building of the school were honoured.

 

Mrs. Shalini-President of the Nire Grama Panchayat, Stany Saldanha-Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council, Sandeeep Castelino-President of PTA, Ankit Fernandes-SPL were present.

 

Fr. Vishal Lobo welcomed the gathering Alwyn Danti compered the programme and Kavita proposed the vote of thanks.
