Udupi, 03 August 2011: While D. V. Sadananda Gowda became victorious in the secret contest for the Chief Minister’s post in Bangalore, here in Udupi the BJP party workers and supporters danced with joy. In Udupi City BJP office, party workers shouted slogans for DVS and celebrated by cracking fire crackers. Since most of the BJP leaders including party Jilla President had gone to Bangalore, here in Udupi, Municipality President Kiran Kumar, Shyam Prasad Kudwa, Jagadish Acharya, Manohara Kalmadi, Santhosh Bolwe, Shivram Kadimar, Salim Ambagilu and others took part in the celebration.
At DVS’s Loksabha office in DC office, Annayya Nayak, Raghuvira Shenoy and other party workers distributed sweets and celebrated. Some supporters cracked fire crackers in the city bus stand and celebrated the joyous moment.
In Udyavara DVS supporters led by former Taluk Panchayath member Kiran Kumar broke 51 coconuts for Lord Shambhushaileshwara in the local Shambhukallu Temple as per their religious vow. On Monday this group had had offered special prayers to Lord Shambhushaileshwara for making DVS as the state Chief Minister and had vowed to break coconuts for Lord Shambhushaileshwara. Now that their prayers are answered, on the occasion they fulfilled their vow by breaking the coconuts in front of the Temple.
On this occasion Taluk Panchayath member Ganesh Udyavara, Radhakrishna Shriyan, Santhosh, Dinesh, Krishnaraj, Raghu Suvarna, Jithendra Shetty, Sundara Kotyan, Yogish, Steven, Bola Anchan, Sundara Bolwe and others took part.
