Fr Dr Roshan D’Souza takes charge as new chancellor of Udupi diocese

Udupi, 01 Oct 2022: Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, the bishop of Udupi diocese appointed Fr Dr Roshan D’Souza as the new chancellor of the diocese who has taken charge from Saturday October 1.

 

The bishop, Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo presided the prayer service held at the Bishop’s House chapel.

 

 

Fr Dr Roshan D’Souza made the profession of faith and took the oath of fidelity and secrecy. The bishop handed over the chancery files to him and wished him well in his new ministry. Directors of various Commissions of the diocese were present during this ceremony.

 

Fr Dr Roshan D’Souza was ordained priest on April 15, 2010. He has served as an assistant parish priest at Rosario Cathedral, Holy Cross parish, Cordel in Mangaluru diocese. He also served as assistant parish priest at St Lawrence parish, Moodubelle, Udupi diocese.

 

He has done his Masters in Canon Law at St Peter’s Pontifical Institute, Bengaluru. He has obtained his doctorate in Canon Law from Urbaniana Pontifical University, Rome, Italy. He also has a Diploma in Jurisprudence of the Roman Rota Tribunal, Rome.
