Moodubelle, 07 Sep 2022: “For the all-round development of students, the role of teachers’ is very important. At home the mother is the first teacher, but once the student goes to the school, the teachers become their parents. The students who follow the path shown by the teachers would be successful in life. We are proud that our schools have such teachers”, said Fr. George D’Souza, Correspondent of St. Lawrence Educational Institutions, Mooubelle while delivering presidential message at the function celebrating the Teachers’ Day on Wednesday, 7 September 2022 at 9.30 am at St. Lawrence PU College Hall jointly organized by the PU College Old Students Association and Lions Club, Moodubelle.
Mrs. Chandrakala B.E. and retired Physical Education Teacher Immanuel Cornelio were the chief guests. Ln. Devdas Hebbar-Founder President of the Old Students Association and presently the Secretary of the Lions Club, Moodubelle introduced the chief guests. The chief guests were honoured on this occasion.
Elias D’Souza, the President of the Old Students Association welcomed the gathering. The immediate past President Maxim D’Sa proposed the vote of thanks and the Secretary of the Old Students Association Mrs. Sujatha Suvarna compered the programme.
Various games were organized for the teachers on this occasion. The names of the winners in these games were read by Mrs. Nancy Aranha.
Principal Edward Larsen D’Souza, Headmistress Mrs. Sunitha Kamath, Headmistress of Higher Primary School Sr. Irene Viegas were present on the dais.
Mementos were presented to the teachers on this occasion.
Following the stage programme, students presented cultural programmes.
