Udupi, 10 July 2011: Loosing her peace of mind with the recent occurrences on the treasures of Ananthapadmanaba Temple in Thiruvananthapura, Kerala, Princess Gauri Laxmi Bai of Thiruvankuru Royal Family visited Shri Krishna Mutt on Saturday. At the same time her son, prospective King of the Royal Family Adithya Varma visited Shringeri.
Gauri Laxmi Bai arrived in Udupi on Saturday morning and had Shri Krishna darshan through Kanakana kindi. Then she performed special archane to Mukhyaprana Lord and Subramanya Lord who is the protector of the wealth of Shri Krishna Mutt. After this she met Shree Lakshmeevara Theertha Paryaya of Shiroor Mutt and spoke for about 10 minutes. At that time Shree wished her well and gave her prasada.
Later Gauri Laxmi Bai spoke to reporters. She said that the treasure found in Ananthapadmanaba Temple is not unexpected. This treasure was there from years and it belongs to Ananthapadmanaba Lord, she made it clear. Since the issue is in the court, I cannot give any details, said the princess. With the occurrences on this wealth, I have lost peace of mind. That is why I am visiting the temples. I have prayed to Shri Krishna to clear this confusion and give peace of mind, she said.
Paryaya Shree spoke on the occasion and said that, for the benefit of the Royal Family and for the solution of the Ananthapadmanaba Temple treasure, he will be offering special Pooje, he said. At that time the son of princess, Adithya Varma made darshan of Sharade in Shringeri. In the evening mother and son both arrived together at Kollur and offered special Pooje to Mukambike.
Princess Laxmi Bai had come to Udupi many times before. She also often visits Kollur. Though she is very wealthy, her simple attitude and simple in dressing and behaviour, no one will recognise her when she comes to Kollur.
