Brahmavara: Sister gets ousted from house by brother

Brahmavara, 04 June 2011: In Nilavara Grama of Brahmavara a ruthless brother puts his own unmarried, dumb sister out of his house for the sake of property. The ill fated sister who was ousted from the house is Vijaya (45) who lives near the Nilavara Temple. She has 3 brothers and a sister. Few years ago they had divided 3 acre land which was inherited from their late father Subba Rao, with 60 cents each.

 

 

 

 

 

 
 
Since Vijaya is unmarried and does not have anyone else to look after, one of her brother Harikrishna arranged her to stay in his house on a condition that he will take care of her. And he was also looking after her share of the 60 cents land. A month ago Harikrishna ousted his sister Vijaya from his house. He has done this to take her share of the land, say the local residents.

 
After being ousted from the house, having no other option helpless Vijaya begged in the village for her food and slept at the local temple or anganavadi. Though she had her own land worth lakhs of rupees, her situation was miserable and had to beg for living.

 
Police Officer Hosakerappa of local Brahmavara Police Station came to know about this matter and on Friday he came and took Vijaya to Spoorthi Dhama and admitted her there. He also got the complaint registered from her. On this occasion Grama Panchayath Vice President Raju Kulal and member Mahendra were present.
