Udupi, 09 Dec: The cultural extravaganza marked the annual day celebrations of St. John’s Educational Institutions (English Medium) Shankerpura on 4th December 2019.
The cultural show began with a prayer song and followed by beautiful dance presentations by the Primary school students to the various Bollywood and English which enthralled the audience followed by a wonderful Christmas Tableau with a message Peace, Love and Joy to the world. Also High School students presented mind blowing cultural dances enthralling the audience and guests that included Janapada dances, Gujarati, Marati and patriotic songs.
A brief stage program was held inviting the honorary guests of the day to the dais namely Chief Guest of the day Rev. Fr. Vincent Crasta (Secretary CESU, Education Board - Udupi Diocese) Rev. Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves (Correspondence, St. John’s Institutions), Ms. Priya D’Sa (Principal, PU College), Sr. Julian Lasrado (HM English Medium), Mr. Mark Vas (VP Parish Council), Ms. Seema D’Souza (Secretary 18 Commisions) Mr. John Rodrigues (PTA), Ms. Clara Mendonsa (Secretary, Parish Council) Mr. Anil D’Sa (PTA) and Ms. Veena D’Souza (PTA), CPL Prajwal and SPL’s Rennon & Aldrin were also present on the dais.
Both St. John’s Academy and PU College presented their annual reports wherein their various achievements and developments were highlighted of their respective departments with a beautiful presented of PowerPoint presentation which highlighted various achievements of the students as well as school/college facilities and various goals that the school as put up for the benefit of the students for their over-all performance in academic, sports and cultural.
The guests were accorded a warm welcome to the honorary guests and were felicitated with floral bouquets.
A brief Prize distribution ceremony was held wherein all the students who have excelled in various capacities sports and academic were honoured by the honorary guests on dais.
In his address to the students Rev. Fr. Vincent Crasta said that he was very happy to visit Shankerpura and happy to learn various all round achievements of the St. John’s Academy and excellence track record of students in sports as well as academic.
Second part of the cultural show was presented by St. John’s Academy and PU College students with their excellent performance once again enthralled the audience with magical dances followed by Christmas Carol singing.
The wonderful Annual School Day program concluded with vote of thanks.
