Udupi: Japanese Prof Shuichi Torrii visits SMVITM, Bantakal

Udupi, 26 Sep: Prof Shuichi Torrii, Professor of Kumamoto University, a highly reputed University of Japan, has paid a visit to Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, here on September 25.

 

As part of the visit, Prof Shuichi addressed the mechanical and civil engineering students of the Institute under the banner of ISTE Chapter.

 

 

He spoke on the topic of ‘Renewable energy and Energy conversion’ where he explained various methods adapted in Japan for generating non-conventional energy and also highlighted the scope for further research.

 

Principal of SMVITM, Dr Thirumaleshwara Bhat, vice principal Prof Dr Ganesh Aithal and other Professors and heads of the department were present.

 

Later, Prof Shuichi visited various department of the Institute and appreciated the facilities offered to the students.
