Jaipur, 02 June 2011: A father allegedly beheaded his 20-year-old daughter at Sandokan village in Nagaur district on Wednesday, June 1, 2011.
The family members of the accused Premaram (45) woke up at 2 am to the shock of their life. They saw the father holding a blood-stained sword and the beheaded daughter Sangeeta (20) lying in a pool of blood on a "charpoy".
As per the FIR filed by family members, Premaram(45) came onto the verandah of his house where his wife Shanti Devi (39) and Sangeeta were sleeping on a "charpoy". He hit the girl’s neck with a sharp-edged sword. Immediately his wife, and others in the family who were sleeping there, woke up but Premaram fled, police said. "The girl had an affair with a boy of nearby village and the father was quite upset with it. May be this could be the reason behind this extreme step," a police officer said.
"The sword used by the accused is yet to be found," superintendent of police, Nagaur, who visited the spot said.
