Udupi: ICYM and Catholic Sabha Units of Moodubelle observe ‘Vanamahotsava’

Udupi/M’Belle, 04 Aug: The ICYM and Catholic Sabha Units of St. Lawrence Parish Moodubelle observed ‘Vanamahotsava’ on Sunday, 4 August 2019 soon after the 7.30 am mass. The ‘Vanamahotsava’ programme was inaugurated by Fr. Clement Mascarenhas in front of the church.

 

The inaugural programme was attended by Fr. Jithesh Castelino-Assistant Parish Priest, Vincent Fernandes-Vice President of Parish Pastoral Council, Mrs. Latha D’Mello-Secretary, Deril D’Sa-National President of YCS, Vilton D’Souza-Udupi Deanery President of ICYM, Preema Rose Alva-President of Moodubelle ICYM Unit, Mrs. Anita Alva and Valerian Noronha-Animators of ICYM, Moodubelle Unit, Anil D’Souza-President of Catholic Sabha, Moodubelle Unit, Mrs. Ancilla D’Souza-Secretary of Catholic Sabha, Henry Fernandes-Former President of Catholic Sabha and a number of parishioners.

 

 

In his message, Fr. Clement Mascarenhas highlighted the significance and importance of ‘Vanamahotsava’ in preserving and promoting the environment and appealed the parishioners to plant trees in their surroundings.

 

Fr. Clement Mascarenhas handed over saplings of teakwood to parishioners.

 

Thereafter, Fr. Clement Mascarenhas along with Fr. Jithesh Castelino and other office bearers planted saplings in the premises of the church.

 

Mrs. Ancilla D’Souza welcomed the gathering and Vilton D’Souza compeered the programme.
