Udupi: Different communities contribute for votive procession of Bantakal temple

Udupi, 09 May: Swami Shivanand Saraswati of Goa flagged-off the votive procession to the newly-renovated Durgaparameshwari temple, Bantakal, near here on Tuesday, May 7.

 

Its significant that religious heads of different faiths contributed their mite in this regard.

 

The temple managing trustee Gurnebettu Ganapati Nayak, Manjunat Y Nayak, Gampadabail Jayaram Prabhu, Umesh Prabhu, Sripati Kamat, Ravindra Shetty Kollabettu, Anantaraya Shenoy, Kutyar Naveen Shetty, Prasad Shetty, RSB community, Pamboor parish priest Fr Paul Rego, parish council vice president Prakash Noronha and secretary Asumpta D’Souza, Shirva – Jamia masjid council chairman Moideen Mohammed, Mudassir C Sirajuddin Zaini, Hasanabba Shaikh, Ummer Ismail, Abubakker Padoor and Hindu brethrens contributed their mite in the form of grains, vegetables, beverages, ice creams, butter milk etc to the hundreds and thousands of devotees who partaken in the votive procession.
