Kote: Alinje Kudru and Devara Kudru to get new Dam

Kote, 24 May 2011: Alinje Kudru and Devara Kudru of Kote Grama Panchayath area, which is deprived of link so far, is going to get a Dam, the proposal for the project is already implemented, said Kaup MLA Lalaji R. Mendon. He visited Alinje Kudru area of Mattu Grama on Saturday and inspected the location for the Dam to provide link between these places.

 

 

Private residents have already provided 100 meter land for the road, the project work for the construction of Dam will be started before rainy season, he said to the local residents. Alinje Kudru and Devara Kudru both have 10 acres of land each, since there is no link many have migrated. Now only 50 houses are remained. Since there is no link they cannot cultivate and produce coconut, rice and brinjalls properly, complains local resident Jagannatha Poojary.

 

Kote Grama Panchayath member Yogish Mattu, Guruji Vishwanath Bhat, Mathaji Ushashri Vishwanath Bhat, Vasu Amin, Sudhakara Amin, Urban Montheiro, Joseph Montheiro, Gopala Poojary, Kiran Kumar, Sundara Suvarna, Vittala Suvarna, Disnesh Poojary and others were present on this occasion.
