Mangaluru, 06 Feb: Taluk Seva Dal observed National Integrity Day at Capitanio School grounds, here, on Tuesday, February 5. Over 500 students partaken in this event.
The municipal steering Committee president Praveenchandra Alva inaugurated the programme by laying garland to the portrait of Seva Dal founder Dr Na Su Hardikar.
Speaking on the occasion, Alva said that Dr Hardikar was a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi and founded Bharat Seva Dal to instil discipline among the youth and children. His disciplined life is the role model for all children.
The parliamentary secretary MLA Ivan D’Souza said that Dr Hardikar is the role model not only for the children but for all. National Integrity Day that is observed amidst all children is indeed a meaningful celebration that is essential to the existing society.
Seva Dal district president Basheer Baikampady hoisted their flag.
Taluk Seva Dal president Prabhakar Sriyan presided the programme.
Kadri temple managing trustee Suresh, Bolar temple governing council chairman Naveen Shetty, district religious council member Gurupraveen Bhat, Capitanio School joint secretary Sr Celina, Seva Dal central council member V V Francis, BEO Lokesh, district Seva Dal secretary T K Sudhir, taluk vice president Uday Kunder, district organizer Manje Gowda, corporator Asha D’Silva, Keshav Maroli, Sumayya Ashraf, education inspector Gurudut Kamat and others were present.
The retired teacher Madhav Mayya compered the programme.
