’Let us look forward for exciting Lawrencian State Level VB Tournament’ - Fr. Clement Ma

Udupi/M’Belle, 16 Nov: “As all of you have worked very hard and prepared in every respect to host the prestigious event, let us look forward  for exciting  Lawrencian State Level Volleyball Tournament 2018 tomorrow and let us work for its success”, said Fr. Clement Mascarenhas, Parish Priest of Moodubelle and Chairman of the Committees of the tournament while addressing the committee members and ICYM volunteers on the eve of the tournament on Friday, 16 November 2018 at 4.30 pm in St. Lawrence PU College Ground. He greatly appreciated the relentless hard work that has been put up by various committees and their members.

 

Fr. Lawrence Cutinha, Convener of the Tournament Committees who conducted the final meeting prior to the tournament allotted special duties to various committee members and ICYM volunteers.

 

Fr. Clement Mascarenhas distributed T-Shirts to ICYM volunteers and committee members.

 

 

Elias D’Souza, Coordinator of the Tournament Committees said that there will be Raffle Draw, tickets of which will be given away during the tournament. The first seven hundred persons who purchase the Raffle tickets will be given a cap each as complimentary to protect themselves from the dew. There will be five attractive prizes for the winners of the Raffle Draw at the end of the tournament.

 

Fr. Clement Mascarenhas, Fr. Lawrence Cutinha and Elias D’Souza posed with the Trophies that will be awarded to the winners and two runners up teams at the valedictory function following the end of the tournament in the morning of 18 November 2018. 

 

The meeting was attended by Vincent Fernandes-Vice President of Parish pastoral Council and Chairman of Sponsorship and Advertising Committee, Victor D’Souza-Media and Publicity Committee, Denis Martis-Sports Committee, Joseph Martis-Logistics and Ground Committee. Besides these committee chairmen, Henry Fernandes, Gerald Fernandes, Emmanuel Cornelio, Valerian Noronha, Marcel Lobo, Mrs. Anita Alva, Mrs. Monica D’Souza-Convener of 18 Commissions, Mrs. Meera Lobo, Mrs. Gladys Rebello and other members of var ious committees and ICYM members were present. 

 

The Lawrencian State Level Volleyball Tournament will be inaugurated at 8 pm on Saturday, 17 November 2018 by the chief guest Commodore Jerome Castelino-retired Naval Officer along with other dignitareis on the dais. Besides, Commodore Jerome castelino, other chief guests would be Fr. Mahesh D’Souza-Pricnipal of Don Bosco CBSE High School Shirva, Ms.Joyline Lobo, International Triple Jump starand Raison Rebello, International Volleyball player.
