Mangaluru: Milagres parish commemorates centenary of 9-day novena ahead of Monti Fest

Mangaluru, 01 Sep 2018: The nine-day novena in preparation for Monti Fest was begun at Our Lady of Miracles, Milagres, here, on August 30. The Milagres parish is commemorating centenary of beginning the novena at their church this year.

 

 

Milagres parish priest Fr Valerian D’Souza celebrated the Holy Mass followed by honoring Infant Mary showering flowers by the children.

 

In his homily, Fr Valerian said, ‘Mother Mary has blessed us in various ways. She has done miracles in our life. Honoring her with flowers shows the love and care that we have for her. Our children will develop this love as they grow under the shadow of Infant Mary.’

 

A large numbers of parishioners were present on the occasion.
