Palghar, 12 February 2010: Annual Day of the educational institutions of ALDEL EDUCATION TRUST managed by veteran businessman Mr Albert W DSouza was held at St. John Technical Education Complex, Vevoor, Manor Road, Palghar East. Mr. Errol DeSouza, Executive Director of Franco-Indian Pharmaceuticals Ltd was the chief guest of the programme.
Students of St. John College of Engineering and Technology (SJCET) AND St John Institute of Pharmacy and Research (SJIPR) presented various cultural programmes on this occasion. Mrs Errol DeSouza, Mr Albert W DSouza (Chairman ALDEL Trust), Mrs Elvina D’Souza (Secretary Aldel Trust), Dr. S. Krishnamoorthy (Advisor ALDEL Trust), Dr Satish Takalikar (Principal SJCET), Dr (Mrs) Savita J Tauro (Principal SJIPR), Br. Shantilal (St. Francis Insititute, Borivli) and Br. Alphonse (St. Francis Insititute, Borivli) were present at the occasion.
The chief guest in his speach said that "Albert is a great visionary who created this platform. Though he is a successful businessman, he has involved himself in social activities. It is said that India is becoming Super Power withing few decades because of the quality of Indian Youngsters of today. But by seeing the activities of the students of this campus this day may come soon." He distributed the prizes to the meritorious students of the college. He also inaugurated the first college magazine "SPECTRUM.
Mr. Albert W DSouza said that the college has stood first among all colleges in Mumbai University that started in the year the college has started. Dr Satish Takalikar Principal of SJCET gave the report of the Engineering College, Dr (Mrs) Savita J Tauro Principal of SJIPR gave the report of the Pharmacy College. Mrs Elvina D’Souza, Secretary of the Trust, Dr. S. Krishnamoorthy Advisor of the Trust also spoke during this occasion.
