Polipu, 23 April 2011: It has been a proud moment that Dr. Bharath Kumar Polipu has earned his PhD in his first attempt upon his submission of thesis at Mumbai University Kannada Division on “A detailed study on Kannada Rangabhumi”. Dr. Bharath Kumar Polipu was felicitated by Shiva Gurikara of Polipu Mogavira Mahasabha, Bhoja Mendon – President of Mogavira Mahasabha, S. Y. Suvarna – President of Polipu Mogavira Mahasabha Mumbai and Mahila Sabha President Vanaja Amin.

The felicitation program was jointly organized by Polipu Mogavira Mahasabha and Polipu Mogavira Mahasabha Mumbai, at Polipu Mogavira Mahasabha Bhavana on on Thursday, 21st April 2011. The program was presided over by Bhoja Mendon – President of Polipu Mogavira Mahasabha and S. Y. Suvarna – President of Polipu Mogavira Mahasabha Mumbai.
Dr. Bharath Kumar is the first son of Polipu Bangaru mane Kamala Kunder and Late Devu Putran. He had his primary education and the child hood life at Pulipu Higher Primary School and Polipu Junior College. He had his P.U.C. at S.V.S. College Katapadi and B. Com degree at P.P.C. College Udupi and then he went to Mumbai in search of job.
While he worked as Senior Officer in Mogavira Bank in Mumbai, he completed his M.A. at Mumbai University. He was the member in Mumbai Kannada Sangha and then became the Hon. Secretary and now he is the Secretary of All India Kannada Sangha and continued his social work, contributing in the field of arts under the leadership of Kannada Sangha organized about 25 drama performances participating himself as an actor and director and staged the drama in various cities such as Mumbai, Mangalore, Udupi, Bangalore, Delhi, Belgam, Dharvad, Thumkur, Hampe, Bellary and other cities.
Dr. Bharath Kumar is also awarded by Karnataka Drama Academy for his contributions in the field of arts. In spite of his busy work schedule he still managed to do his PhD, for which his native village has congratulated him and wished that more and more talents make such progress in the days to come.
